North Metro and Armstrong Cooper entered in a co-op arrangement for this season for the MITE level. All mite level skaters will be skating with Armstrong Cooper Hockey Association for the 2021/22 season. Ice will be split between New Hope Ice Arena and the Brooklyn Park Community Activity Center. Registration fee is only paid to North Metro and no fee to register with Armstrong Cooper
1. Register with North Metro first and pay the mite registration fee.

3. DIBS are still required for North Metro but not for Armstrong Cooper.

The NMYHA Open House is the final step in the registration process. The Open House is held at Brooklyn Park Community Center. Show up anytime on Sunday or Monday, it takes about 20 minutes to complete the process.
**Make sure to bring your $500 Volunteer Deposit Check**
Sunday September 12 Time-1:00pm to 5:00pm
Monday September 13 Time-5:00pm to 8:00pm
You can also register your player at that time if you have not already done so.
Please be sure to read all information provided on this page before you begin the registration process.
Online registration will be available to all new and returning players through NMYHA website starting soon.
Starting September 7th, fees for returning players, Mites through Bantams, will go up $50.
All payments for registration fees and mandatory fundraisers will be made online. Please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, Checking/Savings or PayPal account information available.
Girls have the option to skate on a Co-ed team (Mites-Bantam levels) with NMYHA or on an all girls team through a co-op with OMGHA.
Girls skating in the North Metro Youth Hockey Association and Osseo Maple Grove Hockey Association co-op to form teams from the 6U level to 15U level. The registration process will include:
1. register your player with USA Hockey (see link below), you will need the Current Season USA Hockey registration confirmation number to do step 2 ,
2. register your player on NMYHA and OMGHA's websites,
3. obtain a waiver from NMYHA.

Junior Gold is a fantastic level of hockey with great opportunities for player development.
1. register your player with USA Hockey (see link below), you will need the Current Season USA Hockey registration confirmation number to do step 2 ,
2. register your player with NMYHA (Note: Registration Fee must be paid in full at the time of registration)
Junior Gold players do not participate in the candy sales and there is no late fee imposed.

Step 1: Register with USA Hockey
All families MUST register with USA Hockey prior to registering with NMYHA. Players who have played this summer may have already done so for the Current Season if you played hockey. If you already registered with USA Hockey, you will be able to proceed registering with NMYHA when online registration becomes available. If you have not registered with USA Hockey, please go to www.usahockey.com.
You must have a Current Season USA Hockey Registration CONFIRMATION number to register with NMYHA
USA Hockey online registration:
Each participant will pay the USA Hockey fee of $46 plus a $10 MN Affiliation fee. USA Hockey fee is waived for age 6 and younger however, the registration must still be completed for all players in order to get the confirmation number.
Once you have registered all players with USA Hockey, and have your confirmation page(s), return to this site to log in and register with NMYHA.
Step 2: Register with NMYHA
You will need your USA Hockey confirmation number to complete this step.
Step 3: Attend 1 of the 2 open house dates-
You must attend 1 of the 2 open house dates in order for the registration to be complete. Location Brooklyn Park Community Activity Center. The dates and times of the open house are:

You are required to register your player(s) at the appropriate age level as determined by the Minnesota Hockey Age Chart.
Registering down to a younger age range is not allowed.
To move your player to another division, you must receive approval from Hockey Ops prior to evaluations. Certain conditions apply. Accounts will be corrected after teams are formed.
Come to complete registration at the North Metro Open House at the Brooklyn Park Community Center on Sunday 9/12 from 12:30 p.m. - 5:30p.m. or Monday 9/13 from 5 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
You may also register for hockey at this time.
Any new North Metro traveling players (first year squirts or new players to the association) will have a jersey fee as part of the registration. This is similar to other associations. The association is going to pay to get the jersey's embroidered with the emblem, last name and number. At Registration Open House in September your child will need to give their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice of what number they want. This will be their number unless they ever want to change, number preference will be given based on age. These jerseys will be the players so at the end of the year you will not be handing in your jersey.

Participation in the Candy Sale/Fundraising is required of all players Mites through Bantam/Girls U15 Divisions. You may choose one of the following fundraising options for each of your players.
Payment is due upon registration.

USA Hockey requires 'SafeSport' training as part of the coaching requirements. The SafeSport Training and Refresher Training are each valid for one (1) season beginning on 4/1/19. Please Note: if you took the training during the 2018-19 season, it is still valid for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons. The SafeSport website link is: https://www.usahockey.com/safesporttraining
For anyone who plans to coach this year, whether it be Head Coach or Assistant Coach, please see the following requirements (these need to be fulfilled before you can be on the ice assisting the children). These should be completed and sent immediately:
1. Fill out a Coaching Application and submit to Hockey Operations.

5. After you've completed these four steps, you will then need sign-up for and attend the relevant level coaching clinic and age-specific module prior to Dec. 31st in order to be certified. Once you've been certified, notify the Registration Director and your team manager, print off the virtual card from the USAH website and turn it into your team manager.

Once all the above have been turned in and approved you will then be eligible to participate this season. Coaches who have not submitted the required information by the due date cannot be placed on the initial roster and therefore cannot participate with the team, on the ice or on the bench. Once you have been placed on a team roster, NMYHA Treasurer will receive confirmation from NMYHA Registrar; USA Hockey fee can be refunded as per the Financial Policy & Procedures.
